Or head to the waterfront or park with a picnic basket and blanket and enjoy one of many musical groups. For the creative arts, take in a showing at one of the many local public and private galleries. St. John’s College displays both classic and modern works of art in the Mitchell Gallery. A variety of galleries can be found throughout downtown Annapolis. Many feature art of the Chesapeake Bay. At Historic London Town, archaeologists are uncovering history everyday as they excavate the remains of the colonial town of London. You may even be able to help – but if you’re lucky enough to find an artifact, you have to leave it. After all, it’s our history!
